There were active volcanoes on the moon when dinosaurs were alive. with evidence showing eruptions occurred as recently as 120 million years ago.
This contradicts previous beliefs that lunar volcanism ended much earlier and is based on the analysis of volcanic glass beads brought back by China’s Chang’e-5 mission in 2020.
